Dear customers,

In recent months, due to natural disasters in Japan and Thailand, Honda has experienced shortages of supply across several models.

Globally, Honda has been working tirelessly to resume production to fulfil customer orders and meet demand.

Thanks to these outstanding efforts, we’re delighted to announce that fresh stock has already started arriving, and will continue to improve in the coming months.

The best place to find out about availability of your model of choice is your local Honda dealer.

We’ve also just launched an all-new Civic sedan this March; and you might have heard, our new sporty Hybrid, the CR-Z, has been named 2011 Wheels Car of the Year.

One judge said: "A hybrid that's fun to drive... if this is the future, I'm there." We couldn't agree more!

We’re well on track for a big 2012, and all that remains is for you to join us! So why not order a brochure, or sign up to our eNewsletter; and we’ll be in touch with more updates soon.

Best Regards,

Stephen Collins

What if a hybrid was more than just a hybrid? If ordinary was extraordinary?

Ingeniously, the Honda Insight goes against the hybrid grain to deliver a hybrid without the hard-to-operate bits and one that's more like a regular, everyday car. It's a new kind of hybrid.

What if being good could also be fun?

ECON

They don't call the Insight a playful hybrid for nothing. Honda's Eco Assist system shows you how fuel efficiently you're driving. When you drive economically, flowers within the dash display begin to grow and, at the end of each journey, you're awarded an ECO score for good driving.

Drives like a regular car

The Insight has all the benefits of a hybrid without the frustrations that some people may associate with them.

Compact and lightweight, Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid technology harnesses energy normally wasted when you brake and puts it to good use. IMA reduces the work required by the petrol engine while providing you with more lively acceleration.

The IMA system is made up of many components, but at its heart is the low-friction 1.3 litre i-VTEC engine.

Thanks to the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA), Honda's simply smarter hybrid system, the Insight uses over a third less fuel than other small cars. To get a little more specific, it only uses 4.6 litres per 100 kilometres! So you can save money while being kinder to the air we breathe.

Quick off the mark

Even though the Insight boasts a small and sparing 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine, its superior torque makes you think you're driving something much more powerful. Even at low RPM, this playful hybrid delivers heaps of low-end torque for everyday, city driving.

No power plugs required

This no-compromise hybrid doesn't need to plug into a wall – it's smart enough to recharge itself while on the go. The Insight's regenerative braking system extracts electricity from the vehicle's kinetic energy that is dispersed when it brakes. What does all that technical mumbo-jumbo mean? Well the odd trip to the petrol station is still needed, just less often. Clever thinking Honda!

A very clever transmission

The Insight’s Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) provides smoother decelerations and more efficient initial accelerations - that equals a more economical drive.

Quality suspension

The Insight’s MacPherson strut suspension allows for optimum wheel alignment during turning, while its low centre of gravity gives the Insight more enhanced handling.

Stability assist

In the event of oversteering or understeering, Honda’s Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) gently applies brake force to individual wheels where necessary to keep you on track. See how VSA works

Responsive steering

The Insight’s Electronic Power Steering (EPS) delivers a crisp steering response to driver actions at all speeds. Plus, it’s economical because it doesn’t draw any power from the engine.
